Wetlands & shorebirds program

It focuses on the protection and conservation of wetlands, key for the conservation of eco-systemic services, essential for human communities, as well as the flora and fauna that depend on them. It is closely linked with conservation and research applied on shorebirds population and its habitat, putting special emphasis on the great wet lands of Maullín and Quinchao Island, on Chiloé archipelago. It seeks to provide protection to key areas where migratory shorebirds feed and rest in the center-south of Chile, and to establish connections with other organizations and nets, for the sake of these shorebirds through their migratory route.
