Migratory Shorebirds Conservation
The conservation Project on shorebirds and their habitat is running on Maullín and Curaco de Velez wetlands. It is focused on the conservation of critical habitats which are used by migratory shorebirds to complete their migration cycle. Coastal wet lands which are determinant to sustain feeding and resting periods in long migration bird populations, which move between the North and the South hemisphere. This project is supported by the International Conservation Fund of Canada, The Western Hemisphere of sites reserves network (WHSRN), the Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences and Packard Fundation.
